As it turns out…

blogging and moving do not go hand-in-hand. It was my original intent to blog through my transition, but in my final two weeks of work I could either choose to be an effective worker or an effective blogger – I chose effective worker. I am now first headed in a northernly direction, to visit my parents for several days, and then immediately to Pittsburgh for my move.  I have yet to secure a firm date from the cable/internet folks in my new town, but I would expect I’ll return to the beloved blogosphere sometime nearly before or after Valentine’s Day. Until then, take care of yourselves, and be kind to one another. I will first be  drinking, eating and enjoying time with my parents and cuddling with their puppy, and secondly be moving our first load of stuff from our huge suburban condo to our small city apartment. Praise god for my new sister, who text messaged me to say she has a coffee pot for me. Right now, she’s my favorite person.

You know, two weeks ago four weeks seemed like all the time in the world to finish up my current position, take a small vacation to my parents’ house, pack, move and acclimate. Right now, I’m wondering what on earth I was thinking?

Ah, it will all work out. I will be back soon. In the meantime, if you lack reading material, might I suggest, as always, my blogroll?

Much love,

C

All the best for a smooth ride. We’ll be sticking around and waiting for that internet connect. Do take time to drink a few cups of coffee, breathe a few sighs of relief, and iron out any kinks in your muscles in between.
